MARLDON ANNUAL PARISH MEETING

Published: 16 February 2026

This year, our Annual Parish meeting will be taking place on WEDNESDAY 29th April at 7:00pm in the main Village Hall.
Refreshments will be served after the meeting concludes.
This Annual Parish Meeting is a SEPARATE meeting from the Parish Council Annual Meeting and is a relatively informal event for the whole community.
The purpose of the annual meeting is to give Parish electors an opportunity to have a say on anything that concerns the Parish of Marldon, Compton and Westerland.

The meeting is an opportunity for local groups, clubs, societies and other voluntary and statutory organisations to address those present about the work they do and what they are involved in, so I would formally like to invite a representative from your group to attend and give a short (five minutes?) talk to tell us all about what your group has achieved over the past year. This is an ideal opportunity to ‘blow your trumpet’ and possibly even recruit some new members! Tables will be available should any participating group wish to put on a display or show off their wares. *

Any registered elector may ask a question which will usually be answered, if possible, by the Chair or the Clerk.  An elector may also make a suggestion and comment on anything appropriate to the residents of the Parish.  This will be welcomed.
All Parish Councillors will be invited to attend.  However, the reason for the meeting is to enable the electors to find out what is going on in their Parish and to have their say.

*If you are able to attend and wish to give a report and/or put on a table display, please let our Parish Clerk know just to advise her of your intentions.
An emailed copy of your report would also assist in minuting!
